End User License Agreement

This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you and LifePath for the use of the LifePath mobile application ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.

1. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, LifePath grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes on devices that you own or control.

2. Subscription Terms

LifePath offers auto-renewable subscriptions that provide unlimited access to your location history. Free users can access the last 7 days of location data.

Available Subscriptions:

  • Monthly Subscription: Billed monthly at the price displayed in the App
  • Yearly Subscription: Billed annually at the price displayed in the App (best value)
  • Lifetime Purchase: One-time payment for permanent unlimited access

Auto-Renewal:

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings
  • No refunds for the current subscription period upon cancellation

Free Trial (if applicable):

  • Free trial periods, if offered, will be clearly stated before purchase
  • Unused portions of free trials are forfeited when you purchase a subscription

3. Privacy and Data Storage

LifePath is designed with privacy as a core principle:

  • Local Storage: All location data is stored locally on your device by default
  • No Cloud Sync: Your location data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it
  • No Tracking: We do not track, sell, or share your location data with third parties
  • No Accounts Required: No registration or account creation is required to use the App

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Remove or modify any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
  • Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App
  • Use the App to track or monitor other individuals without their consent

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by LifePath and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

6. Location Services

The App requires access to your device's location services to function properly:

  • Background Location: The App uses background location tracking to record your journeys automatically
  • Battery Efficiency: We use deferred location updates to minimize battery usage (~85% more efficient than continuous tracking)
  • Permissions: You can manage location permissions in your device settings at any time
  • iOS Requirements: The App requires "Always Allow" location permission for background tracking

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
  • Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of location data
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Security of data stored on your device

Location data accuracy depends on GPS signal strength, device hardware, and environmental factors. LifePath does not guarantee 100% accurate location tracking.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LIFEPATH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
  • Business interruption or any other commercial damages
  • Damages arising from your use or inability to use the App

IN NO EVENT SHALL LIFEPATH'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

  • RevenueCat: Subscription management and payment processing
  • Apple CoreLocation: Location tracking services
  • Apple CLGeocoder: Address reverse geocoding (no API keys required)

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

10. Data Export and Deletion

You have full control over your data:

  • Export: Export your location data in JSON, CSV, or GPX format at any time
  • Delete: Delete individual location points, visits, or all data from the App settings
  • No Cloud Backup: Since data is stored locally, deleting the App permanently removes all data

11. Updates and Modifications

LifePath may update the App from time to time to add features, fix bugs, or improve performance. You may be required to update the App to continue using it. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App at any time.

We may update these Terms of Use periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Termination

This Agreement is effective until terminated by either party. Your rights under this license will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete all copies.

13. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your country of residence, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of your jurisdiction.

14. Apple App Store Terms

If you download the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • This Agreement is between you and LifePath, not Apple
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services
  • Apple is not responsible for the App or its content
  • You will comply with Apple's App Store Terms of Service
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement

15. Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

This Agreement, together with our Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and LifePath regarding the App and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings.
